FAQ

Can a company buy?

Yes. Companies use them for staff trips and benefits; a certificate of registered matters is required. Ask a tax adviser about expensing. (ALIVE: FAQ; Coco Villa Owners: XIV drawbacks)

Is the membership deposit refunded?

Resorttrust says most deposits taken at joining are non-refundable amortising deposits. Ask the broker how a resale membership is treated. (Resorttrust investor guide (ig15j))

What are the yearly costs?

The annual fee (operating and management fee) and property tax, plus a room charge on each stay. (ALIVE: FAQ; Ace Resort: lower-priced XIV memberships)

Do I stay in the room I am registered to?

Rarely. Rooms of the same grade are shared across XIV resorts. (Resort Station: how XIV works; Resort Station: XIV grades)

How long does the transfer take?

About a month from the seller’s start, including the buyer’s screening. (Resort Station: transfer process)
